MEET THE STAFF

Aimee holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and certification in Multi-categorical Special Education from Alderson-Broaddus University. After teaching for several years, she earned a Master's Degree in Reading Education from West Virginia Wesleyan College. Additionally, she hold Professionally Administrative and Autism Certificates. Aimee has enjoyed teaching in Upshur County for 15 years.

Aimee has felt a calling on her life to open a Christian School for the past 8 years and prayerfully pursuing the dream. She is married to her supportive husband for 10 years, who works along side of her to see her vision come to fruition. Together they have one energetic son.

Katherine Meeker, Administrative Assistant

Kat is a West Virginia native who attended Marshall University in Huntington where she obtained a B.A. in Criminal Justice and an A.S. in Paralegal Studies. She has spent her career as a Litigation Paralegal in large defense firms and working at the Federal Court level. Kat is involved in local ministries and several local non-profits. Her desire is to help build a better community and to serve others.

Kat now works at Buckhannon Christian Academy as the Administrative Assistant where she “can easily share my thoughts and opinions through my Christian worldview, implement it into a school system, and enjoy the support of everyone around me with similar beliefs.”

Outside of office hours she can be found biking with her family, checking out new running routes, and celebrating the small wins of people around her! She currently resides in Buckhannon with her Green Beret (Ret.) husband and their three kids.

Allison Skinner, Office Manager

Allison has worked with children and in office settings in various ways over the past 11 years. She has always felt that she had a calling to work with children and feels very blessed to be a part of Buckhannon Christian Academy.

She and her husband have been married for 7 years and are raising their two young children.

Ronna Smallridge, Teacher (K4)

Hello! My name is Ronna Smallridge and I am teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten at Buckhannon Christian Academy this year. In my 39 years of teaching, I have taught in various settings from private preschool to public Kindergarten. I am very excited to continue my teaching career at BCA and to continue serving the Lord here. My husband and I have three grown children and 7 grandchildren. We are blessed that they all live close and we can enjoy our favorite country activities together regularly.

Johnna Figueroa, Classroom Aide (K4)

Hi there! My name is Johnna. I’m honored to serve as a school aide at Buckhannon Christian Academy. A Christian institution dedicated to nurturing young hearts and minds. With a deep commitment to fostering a loving and supportive environment, I strive to embody the values of compassion, kindness, and faith in all that I do. Together, we cultivate a community where students feel valued, inspired, and empowered to grow in their knowledge and relationship with God.

Michelle Linger, Teacher (K5 - 1st Grade)

Mrs. Linger was born and raised in Buckhannon, WV, and is proud to call it home! She is happily married to her husband, Darrell, for 39 years. She is the proud mother of Nathaniel and Kayla, 1 daughter-in-law, Lorilyn, and a very special granddaughter, Evie.

Mrs. Linger graduated from WVWC in 1984 with a Bachelors’ degree in education. She went on to WVU where she received her Master’s degree in education. After retiring from public school education with 34 years of experience as a classroom teacher, Mrs. Linger was welcomed as the first official teacher of BCA.

Mrs. Linger accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and has a passion for sharing God’s love and the love of learning with little ones.

Jeanie Allen, Teacher (2nd - 3rd Grade)

Jeanie graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She also attended West Virginia University where she earned her Master's degree. For the past 37 years, Jeanie has had the privilege of teaching children in the first and second grades. Now God has blessed her with the opportunity to teach children in the third grade!

Jeanie has always felt that the classroom is her mission field. What an honor it is for her to continue doing what God has called her to do. She has been married for 33 wonderful years, is a mother of two, and a grandmother of three.

Florence Tenney, Teacher (Language Arts and Math)

As a retired public school teacher, Flo comes to BCA with 39 years of teaching experience. She obtained her Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Glenville State College, and her Masters in Elementary Education from West Virginia Weslyan College.

Flo has been married for 29 years, has one daughter, and is "blessed to be teaching at BCA!"

Courtney Frame, Teacher (Science and Math)

Courtney was born and raised in Morgantown, WV. She moved to Buckhannon in 2014 when she married. Courtney and her husband have two daughters.

Courtney attended Shepherd University and West Virginia University. She graduated from WVU in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She previously taught in Upshur County Schools for 8 years before joining BCA.

Her faith has always been strong and she is happy to be teaching at BCA where Christ is at the center of the educational programs.

Stephanie Adams, Dean of Students/Teacher (History and Math)

Stephanie holds degrees from Fairmont State University and from Campbellsville University. She is a certified Classical Educator as well as a teacher trainer with over a decade of experience working with students in private and hybrid Christian education programs. She has an extensive background in child and family counseling as well as school administration.

Stephanie has been with her husband John for 26 years and has four beautiful children. Together they have been faithful members of the Body of Christ; where they have worked and served for over 24 years.

Stephen Boone, Coordinator of Biblical Studies and Activities (Social Studies and Bible)

Stephen has dedicated the majority of his professional career to serving in Christian education, blending teaching roles with administrative responsibilities. He holds a B.A. in History with a minor in Education from West Virginia Wesleyan College and an M.Div. in Christian Leadership and Church Ministry from Liberty University. Throughout his journey, Stephen has been privileged to contribute in various capacities, including crisis management, curriculum development, spiritual formation, and athletics.

Stephen has been married to his wonderful wife for nearly ten years and they have one daughter that is their pride and joy. The entire family considers themselves truly blessed to be a part of the Buckhannon Christian Academy family.

Lisa James, Teacher (Language Arts)

Lisa is a graduate of Marshall University and has taught English and science classes in Christian schools in WV for 7 years. Lisa also has 10 years of experience in marketing for an educational test prep course. For the past 6 years, she has been teaching English as a second language, and she works as an editor and mentor for international students who are applying to PhD programs.

Lisa and her husband have been married for 29 years and have 2 sons and a daughter. Lisa believes that all children are an absolute blessing from God to be nurtured and led to follow Christ as they look for His plan for their lives. (Jeremiah 29:11) Lisa feels blessed to be a part of her students’ lives.
