Thank you for your interest in joining our team.  Here at Buckhannon Christian Academy, we realize the importance of hiring individuals who are not only qualified, but who are willing to invest in our students while they are here. Our mission is to provide the highest quality academic and Biblical world-view training in an environment that encourages spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth.

We are currently seeking candidates to fill the following potential positions for the 2023-2024 school year:

 - Elementary Teacher (Substitute)  

-  Middle Teacher (Substitute)  

 - Teacher Assistant/Aide (Substitute)

 

Teaching positions require a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.  Preference will be given to individuals with a degree in the educational field. Staff positions require a high school diploma or equivalent.  Experience in a school setting will be considered a valuable qualification for any candidate. 

Candidates must be able to meet all qualifications for employment at Buckhannon Christian Academy, including a background check, a testimony of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ, and agreement with the school’s doctrinal statement.  The qualified individual will submit to the application and interview process as described below. 

Application Process

  1. Send a resume of experiences and educational background with cover letter indicating what position(s) you are interested in to apayne@bcawv.org.

  2. Those who meet the minimum qualifications for a position will be sent an application.

  3. Complete the application and return it to apayne@bcawv.org.

  4. Candidates for each position will be called for an interview.

  5. The interview may include members of the administrative team, board members, and teachers.

  6. All successful applicants must submit to a background check.

  7. Applicants will be notified of a decision once it has been made.
